A New Way to Build Self-Trust at Work and in Life
How I learned to trust myself—and created a method to help others do the same.
Today, I'm launching something close to my heart: crer.
crer is a career and leadership ecosystem—and a simple, powerful method—designed to help professionals trust themselves by guiding them through a journey of self-discovery, ultimately unlocking the path to fulfillment.
You’re invited to be part of the (r)evolution.
What Exactly is crer?
crer is both a philosophy and a practice—one designed to help high-performing professionals shift from burnout and overthinking into clarity, alignment, and ease, without abandoning ambition.
It was born from a simple but powerful truth: in a world that often asks us to be defined by our titles, salaries, and how much we can produce—we’re rarely taught how to see who we really are—or how to trust ourselves.
But self-trust is the foundation that makes fulfillment possible—which is why it’s at the very heart of crer, and of the crer method.
At its core, the crer method is built on four essential pillars:
connect – with yourself (mind, body and spirit) and with others
release – what no longer serves you
experiment – with aligned action
reflect – to learn, integrate, and adjust
It's not a formula. It's a rhythm—a practice you can return to again and again as you grow, shift, and lead.
The Beginning
When I stepped away from my full-time role, I began to question who I was—outside of my title, achievements, or productivity. I wasn't just rebuilding my career—I was relearning how to listen and trust myself. Asking:
“What would it look like to lead my life from the inside out?”
Without fully realizing it, I was laying the groundwork for crer.
A Serendipitous Name
When it came time to name this work, I did what many modern builders do—I opened ChatGPT. I asked it to generate names based on the four pillars of the method: connect, release, experiment, reflect. It responded with “crer.”
At first, I laughed. It felt overly literal. But something about it lingered.
Out of curiosity, I looked up the word—and discovered that crer means “to believe” in Portuguese.
Given how connected I feel to Portugal, and how deeply this work is rooted in belief—belief in ourselves, in possibility, in purpose—it felt like more than coincidence.
It felt like alignment.
That moment became a small affirmation of the bigger idea:
Sometimes, when we stay curious and open, the next step reveals itself.
crer is about that belief.
Not blind optimism—but the quiet conviction that something more aligned is possible, even if we don’t know exactly what it is yet.
An Invitation for You
If you’re a high-achieving professional who secretly wrestles with self-doubt…
If you’ve felt burned out, stuck, or unsure of your next move…
If you want to feel more confident, aligned, and yourself in your work…
Then maybe, crer is for you.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to be “ready.”
You just need to be willing to begin from exactly where you are.
crer is about learning to trust your inner rhythm—especially when external pressure makes you want to rush, please, or prove.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more about:
Who crer is designed for
Stories from my own path (and those of clients who’ve walked it too)
Practical ways to apply the crer method in your life and career
But for now, here’s a gentle way to start—one simple invitation for each pillar:
connect → Feel into your body:
Take one minute to pause. Where in your body feels open or at ease right now? Where feels tense? No need to fix—just notice.release → Let go of:
What expectation, belief, or “should” feels especially heavy this week? Can you breathe into it and give yourself permission to let it go?experiment → Try this:
Say yes to something slightly outside your norm today. A new route, a small request, a different pace. See what it stirs.reflect → Anchor in gratitude:
What’s one moment—big or small—that made you feel grounded or grateful this week?
These aren’t tasks. They’re invitations—a starting point to discover and build trust in yourself, one gentle choice at a time.
Next Steps
Each Monday (aka Magic Monday), I’ll be sharing reflections, tools, and real stories that bring the crer method to life—along with ways to apply it to your own career, leadership, and personal journey.
I hope it helps you feel a little less alone. A little more grounded. And a lot more connected to yourself.
